Book a Group Session

Move together, breathe together, laugh together.

Private group sessions at The Village Well are for friends, families, teams, and small groups who want a class that’s just for them. We’ll design a custom session based on your group’s goals, energy, and experience level—whether that’s a fun first-time Pilates experience, a team reset, or a regular standing small-group practice.

What Are Private Group Sessions?

Private group sessions are closed classes reserved for your group only. You’ll have:

  • A dedicated instructor

  • A tailored class style (Reformer, mat, or mixed)

  • The studio space reserved for just your people

We adjust everything—from pace to music to modifications—so your group feels supported, safe, and seen.

Perfect For:

Private group sessions are a great fit for:

  • Friends who want to move together
Weekly or monthly “standing dates” to check in and move your bodies.

  • Families or partner sessions
Parents and adult children, siblings, couples—any combination of humans who want a shared practice.

  • Work teams & organizations
Off-site wellness hours, team-building, or a recurring class to support stress management and mental health.

  • Special occasions
Birthdays, pre-wedding / wedding weekends, reunion days, or a “treat ourselves” event.

  • Small groups that need a gentler space
Folks returning to movement, living with chronic pain, or wanting a slower, more controlled environment than a full group class.

Types of Private Group Offerings

We’ll help you select the best format based on size, goals, and experience:

Reformer Small Group

Ideal for 3–7 people (depending on how many reformers you’re using in the space).

  • Strength, stability, and mobility with spring-based resistance

  • Great for groups who want a more focused, boutique experience

  • Best for groups okay with some prior movement experience (we can build in extra foundations if needed)

Mat-Based Private Group

Ideal for slightly larger groups.

  • Mat Pilates, yoga-inspired movement, grounding breathwork, or a blend

  • Can be gentle and restorative or more strength-focused

  • Minimal equipment; accessible for mixed levels

Custom Experiences

Let’s build something that feels like your group. Options may include:

  • Gentle “reset” class for caregivers, educators, or helping professionals

  • Mindful movement + light breathwork for stress relief

  • Core and strength-focused sessions for runners, lifters, or recreational athletes

  • A “try it all” intro to Pilates and mindful movement for newcomers

What to Expect

1. A quick planning conversation
Share who’s coming, what you’re hoping for (fun, restorative, challenging, beginner-friendly, etc.), and any injuries or considerations we should know about.

2. Tailored class design
We’ll create a sequence that fits your group’s experience level and goals—no two private groups look exactly the same.

3. A private, welcoming space
You’ll have the studio reserved for your group at your scheduled time. No outside walk-ins, no pressure to “keep up” with strangers.

4. Time to land and connect
We build in a few minutes at the start and end to arrive, check in, and ease back into your day.

Policies for Private Group Sessions

To keep things respectful and smooth for our instructors and your group:

  • Booking Window
We recommend booking private groups at least 2 weeks in advance, especially for evenings and weekends.

  • Cancellation Policy
Because we reserve the studio and instructor specifically for your group, private group sessions typically require 48 hours’ notice for cancellation or rescheduling. Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged in full.

  • Group Size & Safety
We’ll confirm minimum and maximum group sizes based on the type of session (Reformer vs. mat). This helps us keep everyone safe and well-supported.

  • Health Considerations
Please let us know if anyone in your group is pregnant, recovering from injury, or under specific medical care so we can plan appropriate modifications.

Why Private Groups at The Village Well?

The Village Well was created around the idea that we heal and grow best in community. Private group sessions are one way we live that out.

They’re a space for:

  • Teams to reconnect as humans, not just co-workers

  • Friends to trade “catch-up drinks” for something that leaves them feeling grounded and clear

  • Families to experience movement as care—not punishment

If your people are craving connection, nervous system-friendly movement, and a space that feels warm and real (not performative), we’d be honored to host you.
